The windy city has been waiting for another championship since Jordan retired. Now it appears that this summer can hold the key for Chicago Bulls. Defense player of the year Joakim Noah has been holding leading the team since Derrick Rose went out with an ACL injury. Now the 2010 MVP is set to return to the starting line up, but it is clear that the Bulls will need to add more scoring options around Rose.
Carmello Anthony and Kevin Love will be available for the Bulls to sign. The Bulls can sign Anthony as a free agent since he has opted out of his contract with the Knicks. But if the Bulls want Kevin Love they will need to make a trade for Minnesota’s all star foward.
But remember this all sounds familiar. In 2010 Rose refused to join the Bulls’ efforts in 2010 in trying to land LeBron James, Chris Bosh, or Dwyane Wade. Rose wouldn’t even send a text message expressing his interest in playing with one of the big free agents in 2010.
Rumors have begun to spread that Derrick Rose would prefer to play with Kevin Love.

According to sources close to Kevin Love, Rose’s preference is for the Bulls to work out a deal as soon as possible for Minnesota’s All-Star forward because he sees Love as more of a team player than Anthony. Chicago is in the mix with Golden State for Love, with Boston and Denver considered long shots. If it makes any difference to Melo, Rose has no plans to recruit Love, who is free next summer, either. But the Bulls already know whom he’d really prefer to play with in the future.
Also what makes the Love rumors have some weight is that Love and Rose are already good friends. Rose and Love have been good friends since the two have been in the NBA as the pair would often workout together in the off-season.
