Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo was awarded a new Kia after being named the Most Improved Player last season.
Oladipo decided to give the truck away to Renita Hills – a Julian Center employee and domestic abuse survivor during the game.
“I’ve heard part of your story, and I think you’re an inspiration to so many people. And you’re a survivor,” Oladipo said in a taped message played during a break in the action against the Washington Wizards.
Pacers mascot Boomer gave Hills the keys and a big hug.
When @VicOladipo won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, he was given a brand-new Kia.
