Unless you have been living under a rock the last few years, you will likely have at least heard of Marvel Studios major push to bring many of it’s characters to both the big screen and the small screen. One such project is a Luke cage series Marvel announced it will be working on, that will be airing on Netflix along with shows based on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders.
Terry Crews, currently appearing on Brooklyn Nine-Nine expressed his interest in taking on the role today, a role he also states he previously took himself out of the running for.
“Anything can happen. All I know is scheduling and all that stuff – anything can happen. I’m open to all kinds of things, but who knows? Actually I took myself out of the Luke Cage running a while back, just because it was people trying to put people against each other. [It was] Idris (Elba) vs. Michael Jai (White) and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, this is not even greenlit! Can we talk to Marvel? Why are you talking to me? Don’t put me against my homeboy for a movie that’s not existing.’ I said, ‘Take me out!'”, the actor stated.
The project has been officially greenlit but there has not yet been any offical word on casting or any other details.
