Last week a brand new Avengers: Infinity War trailer was unleashed, teasing the events where Thanos will try to collect all six Infinity Stones. Now we know that the Thanos will encounter Silver Surfer on his quest to destroy half of the universe.
That’s according to Metacritic which lists the actor Curt Clendenin as playing the space-travelling Norrin Radd in the new movie. It would certainly make sense to have him in Infinity War as he’s one of Thanos’ main adversaries and constantly comes up against him in the comic books.
However, the rights to the character are owned by 20th Century Fox so Disney wouldn’t automatically be able to use him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That being said, the studios may have worked out a deal to allow the Silver Surfer to pop up briefly to provide backstory, or context to Thanos’ acquisition of some of the Infinity Stones he already has in his gauntlet.
Just last week Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage was added to the latest poster, although there are no details about what role he is playing.
This may be a brief cameo, similar to Howard the Duck in Guardians of The Galaxy, for now we will have to wait and see.
