Scarlett Johansson Lands Solo ‘Black Widow’ Movie

Scarlett Johansson will finally get her own Black Widow stand-alone movie.

Johansson has appeared in six movies as Black Widow, the solo movie will pay her $15 million for the film.

That salary equals what Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth earned for playing Captain America and Thor, respectively, in this year’s Avengers: Infinity War. Evans and Hemsworth also nabbed that same $15 million payday for Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively, as well as the upcoming fourth Avengers film.

Johansson was recently crowned as Forbes’ highest-paid actress after taking home $40.5 million in 12 months.

Producer Kevin Feige admitted to the jump in actors salaries in Marvel films over the past couple of films.

“The percent of budget cost have certainly skewed heavy, particularly on the Avengers movies, to cast now, whereas maybe in the early ones it was more visual effects or below the line,” said Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President and producer last year. “But that’s okay because [the actors] are the best effects.”
