Carmelo Anthony might be heading to LA.
A new report from Joe Vardon of The Athletic, says Lebron James and his camp believe that Anthony, who was told by the Houston Rockets that he no longer had a future with the team just 10 games into the season, can help the Lakers if given the chance.
The Lakers, as an organization, came into the season staunchly against the idea of adding Carmelo Anthony. But that was before the Michael Beasley signing failed to pan out. Let's see where this goes after @joevardon's report … https://t.co/SblmL9HKhp

Anthony, 34, is estranged from the Houston Rockets – still on their payroll for the league-minimum $2.4 million but gone from the team after the two sides decided he was not a fit after just 10 games.
Melo can’t be traded until at least Dec. 15, and sources said there had been no request made by James to Lakers president Magic Johnson or general manager Rob Pelinka to make a deal for his friend.
Lakers are still trying to find the right pieces to surround James with. Let us know what you think about.
