No Spider-man In Future Avenger Movies

It seems that the only way fans will see Spider-Man fight with the Avengers will be in comics and video games. Though Spider-Man wasn’t a original member of the Avengers, he teamed up with them often and fought beside the Avengers heavy weights like Iron Man as well as Hulk. He is a part of the New Avengers though, a splinter group formed after one of the Marvel universes major events, working alongside other big Marvel names like Wolverine, The Thing and Daredevil.

But since the Avengers and Spider-Man are owned by separate studios and getting them together in a film in such a way that pleases everyone that’s putting money into it will be almost impossible. In a recent interview with IGN, Spider-Man producer Avi Arad spoke about why Spider-Man would not join the Marvel Universe.

“We really feel very confident that we have so much to do. Peter Parker is unique; he’s really different. He’s not an Avenger. He’s not an X-Man. He’s unique and we revere that. And we’d rather work really hard to have the right ideas than – you know in the toy business we used to make toys glow in the dark when they weren’t selling well and it gave at least another Christmas. We don’t need it yet.”

“There’s so much to tell about Spider-Man. There’s so much to tell about the Sinister Six. The relationship between Spider-Man and Venom will bring a whole other world in.”
