Kyrie Irving and Nike Release new “Takedown” Sneaker

Kyrie Irving and Nike have an $80 shoe called the Kyrie 3 ‘Takedown’ set to release. Irving’s signature sneaker line is one of the most popular lines and with his play on the court combined with hot sneakers Irving is trending up in the ranks of the NBA.

You can take a look at the shoe here.

Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James have all had takedown models and this move was to make the Kyrie’s more affordable.

Irving has been wearing different versions of the shoe during this season. The first game of the year against his old team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, he wore the Kyrie 3 ‘Celtics.’ These shoes were going to bring in Irving’s Boston Celtics tenure.

He ended up having 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 99-102 loss in Cleveland.

Another notable Kyrie 3 version were the “Luck” version. The shoes were gold with green clovers placed all over the shoe.

Irving wore the shoes on a November 16th game against the Warriors. The shoes were a player-exclusive shoe which means that Irving wore them on the court. They were sold the next day in limited quantities at the House of Hoops in Harlem and in Boston.

Irving had 16 points, five rebounds and six assists in that game in which they won 92-88.

Nike releasing the ‘Takedown’ shoe is a good look for the young basketball community. The younger generation does not have the money and they rely on their parents to buy the shoes for them. This will ease the parent’s pockets and let kids wear their favorite basketball players shoe.

The Kyrie 3 has received great feedback from sneaker heads and I think these are Kyrie’s best sneakers because the people behind the shoe are thinking about all parties.

Kemba Walker Scores Career-High 60 Points In A Lose To Philly

Kemba Walker had the game of lifetime Saturday night against the Sixers.

Walker bet Klay Thompson’s season-high 52 points with 60 point performance in an overtime loss.

“I’m still proud, that’s an unbelievable thing to do right there,” Walker said of scoring 60 points. “I’m just mad that we lost. I’m a competitor. It would have been even better with a win.”

The Jimmy Butler played spoiler forcing the crucial block and draining the game-winner.

“As much as I wanted the shot to go in to win the game, I also wanted it to go in because I didn’t want Kemba to give me 70,” Butler said with a laugh. “I wanted it to stop at 60.”

Philadelphia coach Brett Brown called Walker’s effort “amazing and incredible.”

“We tried double-teaming him, we tried hard-hedging him,” Brown said. “The reality of it is, is that you have Joel (Embiid) and Jimmy in that situation a lot and he is doing that against two all-league defensive players. He is just hard to guard and he is really unique. … Sixty points in an NBA game against a pretty good defensive team is a remarkable effort.”

Walker finished 21 of 34 from the field and had six 3-pointers. He made all 12 foul shots and had seven rebounds and four assists.

Carmelo Anthony Career Is Done With The Rockets

Carmelo Anthony’s short-lived career with the Houston Rockets is over.

Amid a week of rumors that the Rockets were ready to move on from Anthony, the team is expected to announce a parting of the ways with the embattled former All-Star before hosting the Warriors on Thursday night, sources told ESPN.

Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey today issued a statement on forward Carmelo Anthony’s future with the team.

“After much internal discussion, the Rockets will be parting ways with Carmelo Anthony and we are working toward a resolution,” said Morey. “Carmelo had a tremendous approach during his time with the Rockets and accepted every role head coach Mike D’Antoni gave him. The fit we envisioned when Carmelo chose to sign with the Rockets has not materialized, therefore we thought it was best to move on as any other outcome would have been unfair to him.”

Melo can be claimed off waivers.

Lebron James Is Now The 5th All-Time Scorer In NBA History

LeBron James moved into fifth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, climbing past Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain.

James needed 39 points to claim the fifth spot from Chamberlain. He passed Wilt with a free throw in the fourth quarter.

“When I’m able to do what I love to do, and do it at this level — and even being mentioned with the greats that have ever played this game — it just always brings me back to my hometown of Akron, [Ohio],” James told ESPN’s Dave Pasch on the telecast after the game. “And knowing where I come from, knowing how hard it was to get to this point — it’s just never being in satisfied mode. I give it all to the man above for giving me God-given abilities. I’m taking full advantage of ’em. And then my coaching staff and my teammates throughout these 16 years so far, have gotten me to this point.”

“If he stays healthy, the way he’s looking and moving, he has a chance at Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar),” Dirk Nowitzki previously told ESPN. “His numbers have been unbelievable. He doesn’t seem to slow down. The stuff he was doing last year in Year 15 was incredible. If he keeps this up, he can pass Kareem.”

Next up for Lebron is passing Jordan.
