Published

Drake broke every streaming record with the release of Scorpion and Kevin Durant may have played a part in it.

The 2018 NBA Finals MVP released a workout video with Drake’s song “Talk Up” in the background. In the caption, KD wrote about how much he relates to the album. He also shared that Drake’s new album Scorpion “is the soundtrack to my life at this point.”

This didn’t really happen unless I posted it. @champagnepapi’s album is the soundtrack to my life at this point so I’m sorry if it’s copyright infringement, but there will probably more of these to speak life to the art. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Durant also made time to body one of the trolls in the comments.

The Los Angeles Lakers are not giving up on signing a big star to play with Lebron James.

On Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN (via Real GM) provided updates on both situations, starting with the Lakers’ desire to keep their future assets for possible talks with New Orleans.

“Here’s the line they have to walk: They’re not going to give away picks and their top young players in some deal that makes them incrementally better this season because they have to save all those assets for Anthony Davis, a big trade this summer either pre- or post-free agency,” he reported.

The Lakers are also interested in signing Kawhi Leonard in the summer of 2019.

Dwayne Wade and Lebron James played their final game against each other in the Staple Center on Monday night.

This is a bitter-sweet moment that both players have been dreading since Wade announced that this would be he would be retiring at the end of the year.

James spoke to ESPN about the impact that Wade had on his career. “Obviously, without D-Wade in my career, I wouldn’t be sitting here with this résumé that I have,” said James. “Individually, I think I would still be doing my thing individually, but as far as me accomplishing the team goals that truly mean most to me? Twenty-seven wins in a row. Four straight Finals. Two back-to-back championships. It goes without saying. I wouldn’t be able to accomplish it without him.”

Wade had a chance to send the game into overtime, but Lebron was able to force him into a bad shot from the arch.

“He knew my move at the end that stopped me from getting to my shot,” Wade said. “That’s how well we know each other, man. Just two competitors who enjoy the game of basketball, who love each other and love competing. So I’m glad that in my 16 years that we were on the court together, we was in this game, we’ve made a big impact on and off the court.”

It was clearly tough for both players and great moment to witness.
