Kawhi Leonard Pens Heartfelt Letter To Spurs Fans

Kawhi Leonard is no longer the face of the Spurs. The Spurs former franchise player wanted to be traded to another this summer. The two-time player of the year was traded to the Toronto Raptors for DeMar DeRozan.

Leonard has finally addressed fans with an open letter he posted to Twitter. “I have been going back and forth the last few weeks trying to figure out the right things to say.” Kawhi wrote. “It comes down to two simple words: THANK YOU!”

The Raptors now have a year to convince Leonard to become the new face of their franchise.

Kawhi Leonard Is Keeping An “Opening Mind” With The Raptors

Kawhi Leonard is not ready to shut the door on staying with Toronto.

Kawhi was traded to the Raptors in the offseason for DeMar DeRozan and is on the last year on his contract. The Raptors are hoping they can keep the 2-time Defensive Player of the Year in staying with the organization. During the media day, Kawhi addressed the possibility of signing long-term.

“I want to play here,” Leonard said. “I came in with an open mind. I want to do great things … focus on this year. If you’re looking toward the future, you’re going to trip over the present.”

Leonard played only nine games for the Spurs last season because of a quad injury.

Antonio Brown Is Not Interested In A Trade

Antonio Brown has no plans on leaving the Steelers.

The Pro Bowl wideout told reporters was obviously frustrated with the loss on Sunday. Brown tweeted originally tweeted out trade me after a reporter questioned his talent.

During the press interview, Brown stated, “I don’t want to be traded.”

“The tweet yesterday was not in reference to anything other than Antonio responding to a person he knows. It was not directed towards a trade or wanting to be [traded]. Any idea he was asking for a trade is not accurate,” Rosenhaus said in a statement to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Brown has recorded 18 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown through the first two weeks.

Jimmy Butler Wants Out Of Minnesota

Jimmy Butler is ready to suit up for another team.

Butler is  Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks on his list of preferred destinations according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Butler can be a free agent in July, and those three teams have the max salary space to sign him without giving up assets in a trade.

He informed Timberwolves president and coach Tom Thibodeau of the request during a meeting Tuesday in Los Angeles, sources said.

He averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in Minnesota last season.
