Kawhi Leonard will be in the NBA Finals for again. This it will be with a Toronto Raptors team that has never made an appearance.
The Raptors won 100-94 over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday. Kawhi Leonard led Toronto with 27 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists. Leonard scored 12 of his 27 points in a decisive third period. Pascal Siakam scored 18 points, and Kyle Lowry had 17 points and eight assists.
“He’s been here before,” Danny Green said. “He’s very comfortable in those situations. When the bright lights get brighter, his game rises and he knows how important it is. He makes the big plays, whether it’s getting shots or getting rebounds.”
Leonard has averaged 31.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the playoffs, but is he is more focused on winning the championship.
“I don’t care about being the best player,” Leonard said. “I want to be the best team. I’ve always said that. … We’re in the Finals, and we’re not done yet.”
