Kanye West In The Studio With Tekashi 6ix9ine

Published

on

Kanye West has been hard at work producing albums for every artist on G.O.O.D. Music. Now it seems that Ye is stretching out and finding other artists to work with.

Kanye West and Tekashi 6ix9ine were pictured together in a studio over the weekend. BMJ Studios’ Don Canon — not to be confused with producer and music executive Don Cannon — snapped a few photos of the two and shared the shots on Instagram.

Yeezy is also hard at work producing a new album for Chance The Rapper.

“Working under him, working with him on his albums is crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago is like…This month, we’re working in Chicago,” Chance said.

Maybe 6ix9ine is next in line to get a Ye album.

The album is out a week before the original release date after the project was leaked. Lupe spoke about the moving the LP release on Wednesday.

“I don’t know how the album got out, but it did,” Lupe said about the early release. “It’s my label and I can do what I want with the music so I’m making it available to my fans now.”

DROGAS Wave, the follow-up to 2017’s DROGAS Light, is comprised of 24 tracks. The album will feature Damian Marley, Nikki Jean, Crystal Torres, Simon Sayz and Bishop Edgar Jackson. The LP will be available on all streaming platforms on September 28

“Drogas Wave is based on a story about a group of slaves that jumped off of a slave ship transporting them from Africa,” Lupe said about the project. “The slaves did not drown, and instead somehow managed to live under the sea. They spent the rest of their underwater existence sinking slave ships. ‘Drogas’ is the Spanish word for drugs. I made it an acronym which stands for ‘Don’t Ruin Us God Said.’”

2 Chainz Drops Video For “Bigger Than You” Featuring Drake And Quavo

Published

on

2 Chainz returns to high school freshman year in “Bigger Than You.”

In the Nathan R. Smith-directed video, kids have been cast to play 2 Chainz, Quavo, Drake, and the song’s producer Murda Beatz. The rappers’ young doppelgängers wreak havoc in their school libraries and hallways, dancing, jumping on tables and roaming around the place with reckless abandon. There are also a number of kids that resemble artists such as Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj, presumably on purpose.

The track is from 2 Chainz his fifth studio album Rap or Go to the League for release later this year
