Joyner Lucas Parts Ways With Atlantic Records

Joyner Lucas is ready to take on the independent music route.

On Sunday, Lucas announced that he was ready to go back to his independent roots.

“The face of a 2x Grammy nominated, platinum selling, stress free rich nigga. did I forget to say I’m now 100% Independant?. which means im no longer signed to ATLANTIC” wrote Lucas.

Joyner dropped off his 508-507-2209 album and made waves with his viral “I’m Not A Rapper” visual, which earned him one of those referenced GRAMMY nominations for Best Music Video. The other one comes from a guest verse on Eminem’s “Lucky You.
