Hugh Jackman Responds To Possible Deadpool Crossover

Hugh Jackman officially retired from the Wolverine role in Logan. Ryan Reynolds has been trying to get the star out to suit back up since the success of Deadpool.

During an interview on Good Morning America, Hugh Jackman was asked to respond to Ryan Reynold’s requests for him to return in a Deadpool/ Wolverine crossover. Here is what Jackman had to say on the matter.

“I might just have a little message for Ryan. I love you, man. I love Deadpool. I can’t wait to see the movie. You’re one of my best friends. Blake [Lively, Reynolds’ wife], the fam, the whole thing. But back it up a little. Play a little hard to get. It’s too much; it’s not sexy.”

Back in December Jackman 17 years spoke to Collider about the possibility of joining the MCU.

“It’s interesting because for the whole 17 years I kept thinking that would be so great, like I would love to see, particularly, Iron Man and the Hulk and Wolverine together. And every time I saw an Avengers movie I could just see Wolverine in the middle of all of them like punching them all on the head. But it was like, “Oh well, that’s not gonna happen,” and it was interesting just when I first saw that headline — it was just the possibility of it and who knows what’s gonna happen, obviously — I was like, “Hang on!” But I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there.”

So any possible team up will have to star someone new.
