Gronk Will Return To The Patriots Next Year

Published

on

Gronk is back for one last ride with the Patriots. Gronk posted his return to the Patriots on IG.

“I met with coach today and informed him I will be back for the 2018 season with the Pats,” Gronkowski wrote. “I have been working out, staying in shape and feel great. Looking forward to another championship run. #bandsmakeherdance”

The 28-year-old tight end was closed to hang up his cleats after Super Bowl 52.

“I don’t know how you heard that, but I mean, I’m definitely going to look at my future, for sure,” he said. “I’m going to sit down in the next couple of weeks and see where I’m at.” When prodded even further, in terms of what it would take to get him to hang the jersey up for good, he staunchly maintained his position. “I’m not ready for these types of questions right now,” he said. I mean, I’m just going to sit down, reflect on the season, keep talking to my teammates…and just see what happens.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers are now facing elimination after losing to Celtics, 96-83. Boston came stong from the game gate, with rookie Jason Tatum leading the way.

“I just enjoy playing in the big moments, in the big games,” Tatum said. “I think that’s when I have the most fun, when things are on the line. A lot of guys stepped up tonight. I can’t say it enough: We’re one win away from going to the [NBA] Finals, especially after everything we’ve been through.”

Tatum scored a team high 24 points and made history in the process. The 20-year-old moved into 4th place with the most points in the points in the postseason for a rookie.

Jalen Rose Walks Off Set Over Jordan Vs Lebron

Published

on

The debate over Jordan versus Lebron will be one talked about forever. No matter where you go. For some, there is no debate, Jordan all day. For others, Lebron hands down.

Jay Williams joined Get Up! to make the point that in 1 on 1, he would give Lebron the advantage.

“You cannot tell me in a one-on-one game that LeBron James wouldn’t dominate Mike. In a one-on-one game, LeBron James, 6-9, 260 pounds — if the game was to seven, I think LeBron would win 7-3. You can talk about his mentality, but we’re not talking about five-on-five basketball, J-Rose. We’re not talking about the passive LeBron, making the right play … LeBron James is 6-9, 260, he moves like a guard! He moves like a guard. He defends like a guard.”

Jalen responded with the classic Jordan comeback.

“Michael Jordan was all-defensive first team nine times. LeBron James was five times. Michael Jordan led the league in scoring ten times. Ten! LeBron James led the league in scoring once. I’m talking about a guy whose been the best offensive player AND the best defensive player.”

on

Lebron James and Cleveland Cavaliers were down 2-1 in the series with Boston. On Tuesday Night, James evened the series with a 44 point performance in a 111-102 win. He also made history in the process.

In the second quarter on a pass from JR Smith, James nailed a jumper to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the all-time lead in Post Season points. That 22-foot jumper was James  2,357th postseason field goal of his career.

James also tied Allen Iverson with the most 40 points games during the playoffs. Both players had 6 games in the playoffs with over 40 points.

“To know where I come from, small city 35 miles south of here, and to hear I’m in the same category or talked about and jumping these greats in the playoffs, it’s pretty cool,” James said. “You hear the scoring, the field goals made, and for a kid that really doesn’t care much about scoring.”

The Cavs will face Boston again on Wednesday night for Game 5.
