Diddy and JAY-Z are two of the biggest entrepreneurs not only within the music industry. Both have been set on pushing boundaries and creating wealth. Now both will team up for a new app to help African-American business owners.
During an interview with GQ, Diddy revealed the details of the new venture. The hip-hop mogul plans to develop an app by teaming up with JAY-Z , which will spotlight Black-owned businesses in a user’s area, to help invest back into the Black community. “My thing is most importantly to change the narrative of the black race. I can’t relate to anything that isn’t about that,” he says.
The unfinished app is still without a name, and Brother Love is quick to add the venture isn’t about taking away from other communities — but action needs to be taken, “I don’t believe in passiveness. At some point, there has to be some kind of fight,” Diddy states. “I feel like we’ve done a lot of marching. It’s time to start charging.”
