Paramount has released the second trailer for their first Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee.
Bumblebee takes place in 1987, about 20 years before the events of the first Transformers movie. A scared Bumblebee is being hunted by the American government, and his only hope for refuge comes in the form of a Californian girl named Charlie. Together the two are sure to bond and save each other from some looming disaster, proving once and for all that machines and humans can be friends.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie [Hailee Steinfeld], on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.
Directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) from a script by Christina Hodson, Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Pamela Adlon, Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny. The film arrives Dec. 21.
