Brooklyn Nine-Nine Gets A Sixth Season

The 99 will be back for another season thanks to NBC.

Thursday Fox announced that series was canceled after 5 seasons. Talks of the show possibly being picked up by Hulu were floating around.  But NBC stepped in to save the day for fans that were distraught by news.

“Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home,” Robert Greenblatt, the Chairman of NBC Entertainment said, per Deadline. “Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”

The comedy series’ sixth season will run for 13-episodes.
