Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will take on the Cartel in the third installment of the Bad Boys series.
Sony has released the official announcement after 17 years of trying to get another Bad Boys movie made. Mike Lowrey and Marcus Bennett will finally get to ride together again.
The new installment centers on the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Scipio), head of a drug cartel. Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched to kill Mike (Smith). (Paola) Nunez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend- and the one who got away.
Jerry Bruckheimer is back as producer. There’s also a Bad Boys script, written by Chris Bremner. Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah will both helm the movie. The franchise is already getting a boost with the TV spin-off focused on Gabrielle Union’s character Syd Burnett. Union slotted for the role on NBC.
Expect Bad Boys For Life to hit theaters in 2020.
