50 Cent is developing a new TV series. The Power producer will bring the story of New York City’s infamous Sex Money Murder gang and their leader Peter “Pistol Pete” Rollack to the small screen.
According to XXL, Sex Money Murder is a Blood sect that originated in the Soundview section of the Bronx around the late 1980s. Led by Pistol Pete, the organization had a reputation for peddling narcotics and violently dealing with rivals on the streets of NYC. In late 2000, Pete was charged with seven murders and sentenced to life without parole in federal prison.
The series will reportedly be based on author Jonathan Green’s 2018 book Sex Money Murder: A Story of Crack, Blood and Betrayal and produced by Nicole Rocklin, who won the Academy Award for Spotlight in 2016.
